New VIAVAC glass lifter for large and heavy glass up to 1.800 kg
In the new year, VIAVAC (a manufacturer and supplier of vacuum panel lifters) will launch a new glass lifter onto the market: The VIAVAC GBH-1800. With this “jumbo” glass lifter, VIAVAC is further expanding its glass lifter range, enabling the company to offer a suitable lifting solution for any type of glass.
Versatile and sizeable glass lifter
The VIAVAC GBH-1800 is designed to lift large and/or heavy glass elements of up to 1,800 kg. The versatile configuration options and removable, adjustable suction pads allow easy installation of both large, long panels and small, narrow glass panels. And all that with just one lifter!
Mechanical tilt and turn mechanism
For smaller glass panels, it is possible to manually tilt the glass element through 90 degrees. This is not possible for large, heavy glass elements. Therefore, the VIAVAC GBH-1800 is equipped with a hydraulic tilting mechanism.
In addition, the lifter’s rotary movement is motorized, and the glass can be rotated through 360 degrees at the touch of a button. The glass lifter comes with both wired and radio remote controls for remote suction and unloading.
As many as four independent vacuum circuits
For additional safety during lifting, the VIAVAC GBH-1800 is equipped with a quattro vacuum system, or four independent closed vacuum circuits. With this additional, built-in safety, you are always able to make optimum use of the maximum lifting capacity.
Regular transport
We have also considered transportation issues. Using a specially designed transport frame, the lifter can be easily transported, and no special equipment is required. At the construction site, the glass lifter can be picked up by a forklift in its transport frame and taken to its destination.
