Glass lifter “VIAVAC GBH-1800” now also available abroad

After a successful introduction of our latest glass lifter, VIAVAC GBH-1800, in the Netherlands, it is now also working hard across the border. For the renovation and extension of the Academy of Fine and Applied Arts in Belgium, the VIAVAC GBH-1800 has been successfully deployed, and the installation process is almost complete.

After all the concrete facade structures were finished, the large, 900 kg glass elements were installed. A job perfect for the VIAVAC GBH-1800! The equipment not only had to have the ability to lift heavy glass elements but also rotate the elements while lifting. In fact, the glass elements were delivered horizontally and had to be installed vertically that same day.

The VIAVAC GBH-1800 rotated the 900 kg glass elements easily, thanks to its electric rotary mechanism. This rotary mechanism is controlled by a compact radio remote control. The tilt-and-turn mechanism saved physical effort on the part of the installation team, as they did not have to do this manually.

Renovation of the building was much needed, as the building dates back to 1978. The building is expected to be completed this summer, and young and old will once again be able to express themselves artistically through dance, painting, sculpture, singing, acting, music and much more.
